For students who have had no previous instruction in the language or have had one year of high school German. Emphasis is placed on patterns of German pronunciation and grammar as well as the acquisition of basic reading, writing, and conversational skills. One hour a week of laboratory practice is required.

2133. Intermediate German 3(3-0)

Prerequisite: German 1234.

A detailed study of German grammatical structures, synonyms, antonyms, and principles of composition. Study and use of the most common German idioms through conversation.
