German Club: Der Deutsche Verein


The German Club is an integral part of the German program at MSU. It is open to any student with an interest in the German language and in German, Swiss, and Austrian cultures. The club has four officers elected from its membership and German Instructor, Ms. Mihaela Zginca.

The club offers various activities selected by members each year. These activities generally include a bi-weekly "Stammtisch," fieldtrips to German events such as an area Oktoberfest, outings to German restaurants, German film evenings, informal gatherings with German community members. Club members are also engaged in community service projects, such as "Fun with German" at the Boys and Girls Club and participation in fundraising projects to benefit community help programs.
