Study Abroad

Midwestern State University has both a fall and a spring semester abroad program in the Loire Valley that focuses on the humanities. The program takes place at L' Abbaye in Pontlevoy, France.  Courses are taught in English except for the French courses. Within the humanities program, a more specific curriculum for those interested in French studies also exists with courses on language, literature, and culture.

Southern Mississipi University directs the program, and Midwestern is one of its consortium members.   For a detailed description of this program, contact the International Education Department at its website at Midwestern or go directly to the the Abbey's website at www.theabbey.usm.edu

The French department has relations with companies and universities which sponsor study abroad, for which a student may receive university credit. See professors for more complete details.
